I first learned about Comic Con from Triumph the Insult Comic Dog on the Conan O’Brien show, good stuff, you should youtube it, maybe.. unless you’re easily offended, in which case, don’t. Anyhow, I have since learned a little more about the event, Comic Con International is a yearly comic book convention held in San Diego. The convention includes comic books, drawings, paintings, jewelry, sculptures, science fiction, movies, television, pop culture elements like anime, animation, toys, games, etc. It sounds like a lot of fun! It just happens that the convention was held this past weekend and I couldn’t help but Google what new things it had to offer. (Yeah, that’s the truth.)
There’s a lot of cool new stuff presented but what stuck out for me was The Avengers promotional art coming out. Next year the new Thor movie and the new Captain America movie are coming out and I’m kind of excited about them. (Yeah, that’s the truth.) This year at Comic Con they debuted some of the promo art for the movies and I have to say, I was pretty impressed. To quote the writer of the article, they are “they drenched in bad-assery.”

The actual “The Avengers” movie won’t come out until 2012 so I bet next year’s Comic Con will have some great stuff for it!
